Host name of a computer can be seen through the ip address of the specified host or computer. If you area network administrator or system administrator you need the below method to get the host name of a computer with the ip address of that specified host.
Ping or pinging is the method to contact a host computer that is in a same network or in any network in the world. So here also we need to ping the host computer with it's ip address to get it's host name
ping -a
There are other commands also available. But I think this is a better one. If you want more, then I will provide it here.
