There are many cases we need to reset user password on windows. Some people will forget the password after a long vacation and many such cases will come to our life cycle. Is there a way to reset the Windows password ? Answer is yes, there is a way to reset or change the password. In such a case, if you already created a password reset disk, you don't want to worry about nothing.
But if you don't have a password reset disk, then there are so many alternatives are there to reset your user password. You can't retrieve the old password, but you can set a new password without knowing the old password.
Method 1
This is a simple method, works mostly because of that we don't give a password for the administrator account at the time of Windows installation.
Start up (Switch on) your computer , also press F12 or F5 ( May vary with the BIOS ) to get on the Boot Menu option.
Select Safe Mode from the list
The system will boots up, Select Administrator if Prompted.
Click YES for the message appears during the boot to the desktop.
Now you can reset password for your user account by right Click My Computer icon > Select Manage > Select Users and Groups > Select users > Right Click the user you want and select reset password.
